Christ Episcopal Church
35 Paris Street Norway 04268 Phone : 207-743-6782 The Parish of Christ Church serves the Oxford Hills area of western Maine. The Parish was founded in 1897 and has been offering a ministry of worship, education, outreach and pastoral care since that time. The church, built that same year, was designed by Bertram Grosvner Goodhue, who also designed St. Thomas Church in New York City and the West Point Military Academy Chapel. After many decades of ministry as a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Maine, Christ Church became a Parish in 1974.The Christ Church family has about 150 members, who come from towns in the Oxford Hills. Many summer visitors and winter skiers join our year-round folk.We are an active presence in our local community and participate in local ecumenical groups. Our rector and several of our members serve in leadership positions at the diocesan level and beyond.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Skeetfield Rd Oxford 04270 Phone : 207-743-8125 We believe that through Him, all mankind may enjoy eternal life with their families in Heavenly Father’s kingdom (John 3:16). We also believe that we lived with God as spirits before we were born (Romans 8:16), and that according to His plan of happiness we can come to earth to receive physical bodies in order to learn and grow. Through the work done in Mormon Temples, we believe our family relationships can be sealed eternally. All this is contingent on our living righteous lives according to God’s divine guidance, as revealed by prophets, and repenting when we make mistakes. The Church’s mission is to help us meet the challenges of this life so that we will be worthy of the temporal and spiritual blessings God wants for us.

First Baptist Church of Paris
, P.O. Box 85 Paris 04271 Phone : 207-674-3853 In the late autumn of 1829, ten brethren and ten sisters banded together in church covenant and formed the First Baptist Church in Paris, Maine. For twelve years the church meetings were held in a barn in summer and private homes in the winter. In April 1803 a committee purchased a 4 acre parcel of land and the church was built by Isaiah Fuller. In July 1821, the Revere Bell was procured and swung in the belfry of the church tower. The Revere Foundry book lists the sale of this bell as “#252; July 25, 1821; Paris, Maine; 906 lbs”. It was not cast by Paul Revere, but by his son Joseph Warren Revere. This bell was initially owned by the County of Oxford and the residents of Paris, Maine, to be overseen by the Court of Sessions. It was subject to this dual ownership until 1900, at which time the town turned over all interest in the church building.

Grace Baptist Church
398 Paris Hill Road South Paris 04281 Phone : 207.743.6695 1954 - Much time was spent in prayer and fasting as George Colby led the founding of the church. The original name of the church was "The Bible Baptist Church of Paris, Maine." The first pastor of the church was Pastor Walter Wood. The church building had not yet been built, so the first service took place on July 4th in George Colby's garage. The church wasted no time in supporting missions by giving 10% of the church's income in support of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Milonas. The church also reached out to the local community with its first Vacation Bible School headed by Lucy Mae Branch.

Oxford Seventh-day Adventist Church
, PO Box 520 Oxford 04270 Phone : 207-743-9305 Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.

Waterford First Congregational Church
16 Plummer Hill Rd, Waterford 04088 Phone : 207-583-6381 The Congregational Church in Waterford was founded by eighteen people under the ministerial leadership of the Reverend Lincoln Ripley on October 2, 1799. He was followed by the Reverend John A. Douglas, who served for 52 years, the church's longest pastorate.A meeting house was built on the church building's present site, Plummer Hill, in 1802. It was torn down in 1843 and the lumber was used to build the Town Hall. A distinctive New England style church building, similar to the present one, replaced it in 1837. This structure was destroyed by fire in 1928. The plaque, pulpit, and distinguished fixtures were among the items rescued from the fire.
