Jan welcomes visitors to her studio/gallery all year round. While it is helpful for you to call first to make sure she is there (especially during the winter months), you can stop in anytime. During the summer, she has regular gallery hours. Please call to confirm. Damariscotta is located about 1 hour Northeast of Portland Maine along US Route 1. We are close to the towns of Rockland, Rockport, Camden, Boothbay, Wiscassett and at the mouth of the Pemaquid Peninsula. It is a very beautiful area of Maine, and a wonderful inspiration for painters and painting.

The not-for-profit Saltwater Artists gallery is a cooperative adventure in the arts. The gallery is maintained and operated by the membership. This summer twenty six artists, jury selected, working in every medium; painting, sculpture, photography, stain-glass, jewelry, and all, will be sharing their work with visitors. The Saltwater Artists Gallery is located on Rt 130 a quarter of a mile before the Pemaquid Lighthouse. (See directions at left.) The original members of the group formed in 1967. In 1998 they purchased the gallery building. The crashing surf on the rocks at Pemaquid can be heard from the gallery door.
