 | Newburgh Newburgh is a town in Penobscot County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,394 at the 2000 census. The Town of Newburgh was incorporated in March 1819. It in the southwestern corner of Penobscot County. We have the Open Town Meeting form of government where an annual town meeting is held the 2nd Saturday in March to conduct the business of the town. We have three Selectmen who serve as Tax Assessors and Overseers of the Poor and we have a Town Manager. |
