	Allagash Guide Service Hunters have the opportunity to take a trophy buck 200 lbs or more. Many of these deer have exceptional racks with great mass. The vast northern hardwood ridges with mixed pockets of spruce-fir and cedar valleys extend for hundreds of thousands of acres. Commercial forestry is the prime industry in the Allagash region and we are able to use this to our advantage. Logging roads allow us to access all areas of the North Maine Woods.

	Bear Creek Guide Service & Lodge We areMaine hunting guides located in Island falls, with private bear hunts, moose hunts, whitetail deer hunts area near Mattawamkeag and Pleasant Lakes on Route 2. The vast Northeastern Wilderness area, which surrounds the lodge, hails an abundance of lakes, ponds, streams and rivers with some excellent Landlocked Salmon, Brook Trout, Bass and Pickerel fishing. 	Bearhunts Maine Most of our hunters only hunt the afternoons as this is the most active time for the bears. Most of our bears are shot in the last two hours of the day. Treestands are placed within 20 yards of the bait with some as close as 12 yards for some great shot opportunities. We utilize both Loc-on type and Ladder or Platform type stands. Most stands are approximately 12-15 feet high. Our stand locations are carefully selected and are heavily baited for 30 days prior to the begining of the season.
