	The Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway, Inc. The Montreal, Maine & Atlantic began operation in January of 2003 and owns over 745 route miles of track, serving customers in Maine, Vermont, Quebec and New Brunswick. The MMA operates approximately 25 trains daily with main line operations conducted daily between Madawaska and Searsport, Maine, and between Brownville Junction, Maine and Montreal, Quebec.

	The Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad The Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad began its non-profit history as a project of the Phillips Historical Society about 1970. In the 1980s we became independent. Then once again, in the early 1990s, we became a division of the Phillips Historical Society. Effective in August 2003, we are, once again, independent of our good friends at the Phillips Historical Society.

	The Sandy River Railroad For more than fifty years, Franklin County, Maine enjoyed the best two foot gauge railroad in the country. The Sandy River Railroad was started in 1879. In 1908, the Sandy River merged with all of the other Franklin County Lilliputs and emerged as the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad, boasting over 120 miles of track and thirteen engines. It flourished until the 1920's when autos and trucks made inroads into its once prosperous business.
