 | Points East Sailing We have sailed the coast of Maine for the past forty years. Infact, we love the Maine Coast so much that we recently moved to a home on the Sheepscot River. We have decided to make our "ride" available to others so that they too can enjoy cruising the Maine coast. Our place, located on Barter's Island on the Sheepscot River, is a perfect place to begin a Maine cruise. Our property has a dock that is deep enough for the boat from 1/2 tide up. |
| | Pope Sails & Rigging Pope Sails & Rigging is an independent sail and rigging loft located on the waterfront in Rockland, Maine. We specialize in matching the right combination of sail construction details to your sailing style. Our sails are successful across the full spectrum of the sport and pastime of sailing. From Optimist prams to Farrier tris to ocean-crossing cutters, our sails have proven themselves both fast and durable. |

At the show, Scott picked up a copy of Wooden Boat magazine, saw a 49-passenger classic wooden schooner named Bagheera for sale in San Francisco, and an idea was born. |

| | Portland Yacht Club The Schooner Trophy Race was a fixture at PYC for many years. For a time it was held on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. At other times it was sailed on Independence Day. Then for reasons unknown, it disappeared from the Race Calendar. In 2013 it was restored as part of the Independence Day festivities. |
