 | Sonny's Sonny's bar and lounge inhabits the grand historic space that was the old Portland Savings Bank and more recently F.Parker Reidy's. Built after the great fire of 1866 the 83 Exchange street building is perhaps the finest example of ornate antebellum architecture in New England's most beautiful northern sea town. During renovation great care was taken to preserve the integrity of the space and the new additions of bar and booth seating were carefully designed and executed by local craftsmen. |
| | Surf 6 Oceanfront Grille & Bar As you enter Surf 6, you will notice immediately the grand oceanfront view and the casual, relaxed atmosphere and nautical theme. The large number of nautical curios are fun and interesting to see and in many cases rare items collected over a period of many years. The very unusual bar is in fact the bow end of a once real working lobster boat! Try fitting that through your front door! |
| | The Atlantic Brewing Company As Bar Harbor's premier microbrewery, we invite our visitors to a memorable introduction to the brewing process. Maine has a fine heritage of microbreweries of various styles, and we are proud to be part of that tradition. We have been brewing our Bar Harbor Real Ale and Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale for over a decade, and find loyal followers throughout Maine and the micro brewing world. We hope you enjoy your visit to our truly unique brewery in Bar Harbor. |
| | The Black Bear Cafe Your hosts John and Susan Bohill have always wanted to make their home in the Lakes Region of Maine, and after the events of 9-11-01, decided it was time to take action and move to Maine. It took a few years. John, had been in the restaurant business in Massachusetts in the 70’s and 80’s, and before that in Ireland. Susan’s father had a restaurant in Miami, Florida, the Big Fish, and while she only ate the food there, was always inspired and nourished by the hospitality and fine food. |
| | The Bollard Bull Feeney’s can boggle the mind. Part Irish pub, part family-style restaurant, part raucous Old Port rock club, the Fore Street establishment is laid out like a Clue board: the dining room, the library, the ballroom, the lounge, the kitchen… You half expect to see Col. Mustard and Miss Scarlet having a drink at the end of the bar – planning their next murder. |
