	The Friends of the Allagash The Friends of the Allagash was formed in 2000 when pressures from outside the region provoked amongst a highly diverse group of citizens very real concerns over the potential eradication of the remaining crucial elements of their Acadian and Allagash heritage. A groundswell of sentiment became evident among residents of the St. John Valley and many like-minded Allagash Waterway visitors.

	The Harraseeket Yacht Club The Harraseeket Yacht Club is a 250 member volunteer organization located on the Harraseeket River near the head of Casco Bay in Maine. Our primary purpose is to encourage and promote the sport of boating and the science of seamanship and navigation, particularly through programs of instruction for young people. Our club was founded with that mission which has been carried out for over 50 years with commitment and volunteer help of our members.

	The Sokokis Riders, Inc. The Sokokis Riders, Inc. snowmobile club was established in the early 1960s and may be the longest, continuously operating snowmobile club in the state of Maine. Many of the original members were also members of the Buxton/Hollis Lions Club. Today we have approximately 50 members and maintain 60 miles of trail. A primary goal of the club is to continue a good working relationship with the landowners in order to keep our trails open for all to enjoy.
