As Director of the Maine Arts Commission, Donna McNeil is responsible for overseeing the cultural well being of the State of Maine through support for artists and arts organizations. She joined the Maine Arts Commission staff in 2003 as Contemporary Art and Public Art Associate where she oversaw the advancement of artists through advocacy, grants, professional development and the percent for art program.

Naomi (Fiehler) Aho was born in Schenectady, NY in 1956. A "pastor's kid", she lived in many locations growing up, including Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut. She moved to Warren, Maine in 1986 with her husband and children, which they still happily consider home. Naomi returned to drawing after a 23 year career in elementary education. She is represented by Landing Gallery of Rockland, ME. Her work has been selected for juried shows in Maine, Vermont, New York, Illinois, New Mexico.

During the School Year we offer 3 trimesters of Studio based Fine-Art Education for children and teens. We have an open enrollment policy at Oak Street Studios, so students can join classes mid trimester. Oak Street Studios is a great place for your child to celebrate their Birthday Party or other Celebration. We offer unique art activities specially chosen to match your child's interests and age.

Earliest records of the Old Orchard Beach area date back to 1653. The first settler, Thomas Rogers, established "Garden by the Sea "in 1657. A few years later ten militiamen repelled 150 attacking Indians near the beach, but a relief party of townspeople coming to support the malitiamen were killed in an ambush, and Roger's home was burned.
