	Hot Topic It all started in 1988. A ton of teen retail accessory stores littered the malls, but there weren't any cool, music-inspired accessory destinations for both guys and girls. Enter Hot Topic. As 1990 rolled around, adding apparel seemed like a no-brainer. What better way than to bring in the ultimate music fan essentialâ€”band T-shirts. Customers flipped when they walked into Hot Topic stores and saw Bauhaus, The Cure, TSOL, and Depeche Mode rock tees at their fingertips.

	Jansons Clothing Store C. J. Marr's Clothing Store, now Janson's, at the corner of Commercial Street and Townsend Avenue, perhaps about 1915. Notice the west side of Custom House Square reflected in the store window. The two men are identified as C. J. Marr or Frank Albee on the right and Charles H. Wylie on the left; at least Wylie's name is written on the back of the photo. Wylie was a salesman and the father of Grace Wylie Gregory, wife of Dr. Phil Gregory.
