	Frenchboro Books We are located on a remote island (about 2,500 acres) off the Downeast Coast of Maine, one of 14 islands in Maine still maintaining a year round community. We belong to an even smaller sub-group, for most of our men are fishermen and we have a very small number of â€œsummer people from away.â€ Seventy five year round residents, 22 children under twelve (for the moment!), 14 in the one room school; 3 miles of roads; the car ferry travels here 3 times a week;

We also carry a wide selection of maps and prints from the 16th through 19th centuries.

Formalized as a non-profit in 2007, IRW provides innovative reading programs for children living in these unique places. Our strategic vision is to expand to â€œinland islandsâ€ which are also isolated locales with minimal opportunities for reading and language arts enrichment.

	Jenna's Rainbow Foundation Jenna's Rainbow Foundation is committed to help support the children, families, and communities dealing with the challenges of combating pediatric brain and spinal cord tumors. One of Jenna's Rainbow's charitable activities is "children book drives." We check all of the books to make sure they are new and we put colorful, fun labels on them identifying the charity.
