	Maine Health Data Organization (MHDO) Maine Health Data Organization (MHDO) was established by the Maine Legislature in 1996 as an independent executive agency to collect clinical and financial health care information and to exercise responsible stewardship in making this information accessible to the public. MHDO policy is established by a twenty-one member board that represents health care providers, payers and consumers.

	Maine Historic Preservation Commission Established through a legislative act in 1971, the Maine Historic Preservation Commission is an independent agency within the Executive branch of state government that functions as the State Historic Preservation Office. Its Director is the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO). The Commission is responsible for the identification, evaluation, and protection of Maineâ€™s significant cultural resources as directed by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
