	The Ark Animal Sanctuary These kitties need new home due to allergies of grandson. They are all spayed/neutered, declawed and UTD with shots. Med records available. They are in-home surrenders and the owner will be responsible for adopting them.

	The Ark for Pets The Ark is a non profit organization dedicated to the care of homeless, unwanted or displaced animals. We provide shelter and care to all admitted animals until appropriate placement can be made. The Ark does not euthanize unless a serious medical or behavioral problem exists. The Ark Animal Shelter is located at the end of Barber Lane in Cherryfield, Maine.

	The Coastal Humane Society (CHS) The Coastal Humane Society (CHS) is a organization, animal shelter, and companion animal adoption agency founded in 1950 by Bowdoin College Professor of English, Stanley Chase. Beginning as a strictly volunteer-run shelter in an old barn not far from where the current shelter stands, we are now one of the largest animal shelters in Maine with a staff of 20 (including our own veterinarian, Dr. David Bourassa) and over a hundred active volunteers.
