	Halfway Home Pet Rescue, Inc. Homes were found for 11 cats and kittens. We still have many more needing homes and will announce future Adoption Fairs soon. We will continue to display an adoptable cat at the Tractor Supply location. We continue to serve the needs of abandoned, sick and injured cats in our area. Social welfare agencies continue to look to us for assistance with emergency situations. We cannot ignore the need.

The Humane Society also sponsors events and activities that promote the health and welfare of animals, and demonstrate the benefits of the human-animal bond.

	Humane Society Waterville Area The number of towns that contract with the Shelter for animal control/shelter services increased significantly, putting an even greater strain on the already over crowded facility. The threat of disease spread by airborne pathogens was constant due to an outdated ventilation system. A makeshift quarantine room was insufficient for the Shelter's requirement and storage space had been taken over by animals in need.
