As a photographer living in the midcoast Maine area, she has worked up and down the coast from Portland to Bar Harbor to Downeast Maine as well as Inland Maine and Central Maine. She also travels to Florida in the winter for beach and resort weddings.

	Bowman Studio Leslie Bowman was born in Washington, DC and went to public schools in Fairfax, Virginia. She studied fine arts at Carnegie Melon University before transferring to the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, where she received a BFA in Fine Arts. Later she completed a MFA in Painting from Washington University, spent a summer at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and participated in workshops at the Maine Photo Workshops.
