 | Heartwood College of Art American artists have always been drawn to Maine. Maine's light, the sea, and country living touch the aesthetic in all of us. Heartwood students can spend the morning painting at the school and visit the revitalized Kennebunk downtown during lunch...perhaps taking in the Brick Store Museum's latest exhibit or a tour of one of the historic homes on Summer Street. |
| | Maine College of Art Located in the heart of the Portland Arts District, Maine College of Art offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts, a Post-Baccalaureate in Art Education as well as Continuing Studies for adults and youths, including a Pre-College intensive for high school students. | | Ogunquit Playhouse The theatre experienced enormous success and soon sought larger quarters; Unlike other Summer Theatres of its day, which were renovated barns, garages or churches, the Ogunquit Playhouse was the first, and remains the only, summer theatre from the Summer Stock era built exclusively as a seasonal venue! For its time it was a state of the art building that rivaled many theatres in New York. |
