	The Solid Waste Facility in Topsham The Solid Waste Facility is located off of Foreside Road on Townsend Way. We have a transfer station and handle around 1000 tons of municipal waste (MSW). We also have a Recycling Center where we recycle about 600 tons of materials from paper, plastics, and glass to compost a year. We have a user fee system for disposing of municipal waste (MSW) with the base price being $2.00 per 30 gallon bag and $1.00 per 15 gallon bag.

	The Town of GORHAM The Town has contracted with R. W. Herrick to collect household trash and recyclables from every home and apartment building of three units or less. The trash should be placed at curbside in special trash bags purchased in local stores. Please note that there is a 50 pound limit on trash placed in these trash bags. The special trash bags can be purchased at Hannaford stores in Gorham and Standish, Shaws Supermarket in Westbrook, Cook's Hardware, Community Pharmacy, Baxter Memorial Library

	The Town of Kennebuck All residential trash will be required to have either a Town approved bag or a Town approved tag. The bags and tags can be purchased at many local retailers. If you choose to use your own trash bags or barrel, you must purchase the correct tag to attach to each bag or barrel. All commercial businesses with dumpsters will be charged by their respective hauler for the cost of their trash disposal. Non-profit organizations will also have to pay for their trash disposal under this program.

	The Town of Madison The Town of Madison offers curbside, commercial, and industrial recycling for all town residents, schools, businesses, and industries at no extra charge. Madison contracts with Waste Management of Norridgewock for disposal of our solid waste. A landfill permit is required.

	The Town of South Berwick The Town of South Berwick employs a Public Works Director, and 4 full-time employees who work to keep up the road and sidewalk network in the Town. Their job also includes the maintenance of parks and ball fields, bridge maintenance, street cleaning, placement of street signs, snow removal, and storm drainage maintenance. Recycling saves valuable resources, reduces operating costs and reduces disposal fees.
