	Maine Coast Bookshop The Maine Coast Book Shop was originally started in 1964 by the two Mosman sisters in the Day Block on Damariscottaâ€™s Main Street. Their modest plan was to offer a selection of books, stationery & note cards and Bridge playing cards & tallies. They also were a rental library for new books. In 1972, Ewing Walker bought the bookshop, and a year or so later he hired Susan Porter as manager. The bookshop then moved across the street to the space now occupied by Sheepscot River Pottery in 1978.

	Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance Founded in 1975, Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance (MWPA) is a non-profit membership organization whose mission is to enrich the cultural life of Maine by supporting writers, publishers, and the literary arts. It is the only organization in Maine devoted solely to advancing literature and the writing life. MWPA is Maine's only statewide literary arts organization. MWPA is the largest, per capita, writing organization in the entire United States.

	Mr Paperback Mr. Paperback is a group of ten bookstores headquartered in Bangor, Maine and with locations throughout Central and Northern Maine.
