	Maine Aquaculture Association The Maine Aquaculture Association and its member growers are widely recognized as pioneers in the development of innovative and sustainable farming methods designed to enhance their stewardship of Maine's marine environments. Through a 14-point set of environmental guiding principles, cooperative bay management and a comprehensive code of practice, Maineâ€™s aquatic farmers are leading the way in a new, environmentally sustainable way to produce seafood.

	Maine Aquaculture Innovation Center An independent, not-for-profit corporation, the Maine Aquaculture Innovation Center (MAIC) was established with support from the Maine State Legislature in 1988. Commercial finfish aquaculture began in Maine in 1970 near the midcoast town of Wiscasset. Richard Gower, Evelyn Sawyer, and Gary Towle formed Maine Salmon Farms, the first commercial salmonid pen culture operation on the east coast, and the second in the U.S.

	Maine Sea Grant Maine Sea Grant is based at the University of Maine and sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the State of Maine. The University of Maine has been a designated Sea Grant College since 1980. We are one of 32 NOAA Sea Grant programs throughout the coastal and Great Lakes states. 	Natural Resources Conservation Service The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) provides leadership and technical assistance to address natural resource conservation issues on private land. NRCS employees work to improve and protect natural resources in partnership with Maine's 16 Soil and Water Conservation Districts, federal, state and local agencies, 5 Resource Conservation and Development Councils, farmers, landowners and communities.

	Bio-Oregon Bio-Oregon offers a complete line of commercial quality fish feed products. Since 1937, Bio-Oregon has been a leader in providing quality salmon and trout feed throughout North America. Our fish feed is used at government enhancement fish hatcheries, private aquaculture companies, zoos, research institutions and backyard fish ponds. Fish feeds offered include starter feed, fry feed, grower feed, brood feed, low pollution fish feed and specialty fish feeds.
