	Maria's Danceworks Inc Terpsicore Dance is an integrative center for movement established in June 2009. The school offers both a professional course of study in a variety of dance forms as well as a host of healthy lifestyle activities such as yoga and Pilates. Terpsicore Dance is a community-based organization that aspires toward meeting the needs of all ages and levels of ability. This nurturing environment promotes learning, sharing, self-esteem building and the development of general well-being.

	Rising Sun Dance Studio Rising Sun Dance Studio was founded in 2006 by Jen Van Valkenburgh to provide students of all ages and abilities from the central Maine community with the opportunity to explore various styles of dance in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. During its first year, 40 students met in 8 different classes, in a space borrowed from a kickboxing gym in downtown Winthrop. The first recital was held in June of 2007 in the beautiful, historic--but small--theater in Cumston Hall in Monmouth.
