It's only a short walk or drive to restaurants, grocery stores, fish markets, lobster pounds, gift and antique shops, ocean and fresh water beaches, lighthouses, public boat launch, and tennis courts.

On the premises there is a kennel of working sled dogs and a woodshop in the barn where they hand make wood canvas canoes, dogsleds, paddles and other traditional equipment. Mahoosuc Guide Service is a small family run business with over twenty years of experience.
