Wiscasset Raceway have finally secured a lease agreement between all interested parties, allowing us to hold a racing event at Wiscasset Raceway for the main purpose of maintaining the current noise ordinances.We will depend on sponsorship money to cover the necessary expenditures. ;i.e. Race and liability Insurance, State permit, advertisement, necessary repairs, etc.

Wasting no time following the end of the racing season at Speedway 95, owner Del Merritt contracted with Gardner Construction of Bangor to move the heavy equipment in and build a berm around turns one and two to keep cars from riding down the banking and getting lost in the brush at the bottom. Too many times this past season the racing program was held up for 10 to 20 minutes while the wrecker crews pulled cars out, causing long delays that bored the fans.
