	Elizabeth Moss Elizabeth Moss, MA, fell in love with Maine during a summer excursion to Monhegan Island from Washington, D.C. After completing her masters at George Washington University, Elizabeth began her career in the D.C. areaâ€”interning at The Kreeger Museum and working with the sculptor conservator at the Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum and Scupture Garden. Elizabeth moved on to the Smithsonian Institution, where she became one of the founding members of the Smithsonian Young Benefactors.

The artist, Peter Rolfe, is a Portland, Maine native and has an unusual formal education for an artist. He studied mechanical and industrial engineering at the University of Illinois, graduating in 1965, and also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
