In 2005 a small group of parents from the Oxford Hills community got together to create an affordable, secular, alternative middle school experience for their children. In the Fall of 2006, the Middle School at Boxberry was born. In the Spring of 2008, the school was renamed Ganderia Middle School, after the name for the tectonic terrane that became this part of Maine over 400 million years ago. Though our name has changed we are still located in and allied with the Boxberry School.
