Katherine’s Garden originally began as a garden design and maintenance service. Oftentimes, after weeding and planting in her clients’ gardens, Kate would create simple arrangements from the leftover cuttings, leaving behind these delightful bouquets for an unexpected surprise. When one client – impressed by Kate’s eye for design – asked her to arrange the florals for an upcoming family wedding, Kate said yes. She jumped into the world of floral design and has not looked back. Twenty years later, she now works from her pastoral studio in York, Maine – a converted cow barn where the hum of walk-in refrigerators mingles with the birds outside, and buckets and buckets of florals fill the air with their fragrant promise of new beginnings.
