	Annie's Book Stop Annie's have been the leading pre-read book stores since their beginning in the early 1970's. In the late 70's the original Annie (yes, there was an original!) began franchising throughout the New England states, and eventually as far as Florida and California. In 1987, the parent corporation declared bankruptcy. Our owner's association, ABSA, purchased the trademarks to protect our rights and territories.

	Bath Book Shop The Bath Book Shop opened in June, 1999 on Front Street in Bath, Maine, and continues in its original location. Connie Butson, the Shop's owner, noticed an ad in an American Booksellers Association publication seeking a bookstore in Bath, and she moved her shop from the increasingly corporate location in Manchester, New Hampshire to its new incarnation here in Bath, all within a few months.

	BookMarcs Bookstore We are a locally-owned, independent bookstore located in downtown Bangor, across from Bangor City Hall. One-hour, on-street parking is available. Long-term parking can be found at the Abbott Square Municipal Lot, across from the Bangor Public Library on Harlow Street and only one block from BookMarcs. BookMarcs carries a wide range of both new and used popular and literary fiction, mysteries, biographies, histories, and other subjects.

	Books-N-Things Books-N-Things is a complete independent bookstore in western Maine. The owner Sandy Dennis is celebrating over 10 years of Biblioheaven. Sandy, a true Bibliophile bought the store in october 1,1996, just as the internet was becoing a fore in the bookselling market.
