Jo-Ann's Gardens started out as a roadside stand back in 1960 by Joan Farley and Ann Grant, thus Jo - Ann's Garden's name was founded. As we look forward to celebrating our 51st year in 2011 we look back at how our business has grown to incorporate seven green houses, a nursery garden center, and a full service florist and gift shop. In the spring of 2008, our garden center was expanded yet again. An increased shrubbery and tree section has been created along with a broadened perennial section. Customers will be able to choose from over six thousand perennials at the beginning of the season! We have many new species of plants as well as more varieties and colors of ones carried in the past. Please let us know what you think. Your thoughts are very important to us! In addition to physical expansions, we will also be carrying more products in our sales shed for your one stop shopping needs. We will have fertilizer (slow release, weekly applied and shrubbery/tree,) water crystals, grass seed and bird seed. We will also have many garden accessories available as well. Currently, the business is operated by second generation owners, Peter J. Farley who has an associates degree in horticulture from the University of New Hampshire, and William J.
