Each day boys choose two activities (sailing, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, tennis, swimming, fishing, archery, riflery, woodcraft and workshop). Over 40 hiking, canoeing and kayaking trips, ranging from one to six nights, or out each summer to the lakes, rivers and mountains of Maine and New Hampshire and to our 90-acre saltwater island.

Ben and Emily Swan are the third generation of the Swan family to direct Pine Island Camp, and they are committed to the same goals expressed by the camp's founder 100 years ago: " To give boys a healthful and beneficial summer outing, to clarify their minds and reinvigorate their bodies, to give them new life and new strength in a word, to afford them an opportunity for re-creation, not merely recreation - is the purpose of Pine Island Camp." The camp occupies a small island in a big, clean lake, and the boys and their counselors live in platform tents without electricity.
