The Berwick Boys Foundation supports a year-round effort to help tennage boys develop physically, mentally and morally through experience in living and working with their peers. The summer activities take place on a 750 acre island off the coast of Maine. The boy spends one third of his time working on a community project that benefits everyone, such as repairing a dock. A boy generally begins the program at age 13-15, and may continue in a leadership role through college. College scholarships are available to deserving boys. The foundation is supported by public donations; a minimum contribution is required from parents. Boys are required to earn and contribute $50 on their own.
