Welcome to Presque Isle State Park, located in Erie, Pennsylvania. Presque Isle is a day-use park that provides year-round recreational opportunities. Overnight accommodations are available nearby. Over fifteen miles of trails appeal to hikers, bicyclists and cross-country skiers. Presque Isle offers swimming, boating, fishing and beautiful sandy beaches to its summer visitors. Winter enthusiasts come to the park to enjoy the outdoors and participate in a variety of ice and snow activities. The Presque Isle Partnership began in 1994 … and since our beginnings we have worked tirelessly to improve Presque Isle and to give others a voice in making it better. We strive for a better park .. not a bigger one … and we work to improve the environment and to educate the public on the value of the park's delicate ecosystem. The Partnership should have been created 50 years ago .. so we are also working to make up for lost time. Only you can make a difference.
Our Mission :
The Presque Isle Partnership works to protect, preserve and enhance the park - to make it a better place for all users and for all those interested in preserving our natural environment.
The Partnership picks up where the State of Pennsylvania leaves off, taking on projects that are important to the park but do not fit into the state's budget. With the blessing of Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, we fund capital improvements, educational programs and ecological projects. We possess the advantage of being able to move quickly and at less cost to effect change.
