We opened Mooseland Tours & Gifts on Main Street in Norway, ME, in the spring of 2001. Then next spring we began doing moose tours, but after four short years, illnesses in our family during the 2005 season forced us to close our store and suspend tours temporarily. Sadly, Leon's dad passed away in late October, and we were giving my mom 'round the clock care. When mom was admitted to a nursing home in January 2009, we were able to resume doing the moose tours that spring.Using the van, most of our tours are "private" trips allowing a lot more freedom for individual choices and/or needs. While smoking is not allowed in our vehicle, I can accommodate smokers by stopping at any of several scenic rest areas.

The mountain boasts 44 trails of all ability terrain, five lifts, jib park and Maine's first "Boundary to Boundary" ski policy which sky-rocketed the skiable and rideable area from 250 acres of trails to 550 acres of trails, glades, tree lines and powder stashes that humble some of the most experienced skiers and riders. The mountain's 1,150-foot vertical drop ranges from gentle novice slopes to double black diamonds and exciting tree runs with over half the trails here are ranked intermediate or up, and expert riders and skiers will find plenty of challenges on black diamond trails like Rocky's Run, Fearless, and The Cliff. Snowboarders and Telemarkers relish the well dispersed skiing and gladed runs of Zephyr or The Zone where carved broad turns are just a lift away. The Freestyle Park has been relocated and re-caffeinated for the 2010/2011 ski season and is located an easy distance from the Main Lodge, supplementing the many hits and natural elements throughout the mountain. The Resort's "Westside", served by the "Skyline Chair" and the "Sawicki", an easy to use surface lift, is home to the East's most fabulous "Learn 2" topography. The Westside is comprised of three, long, friendly slopes, including Skyline Drive, Westside's signature run feeding beginning and easy-riding skiers and boarders to the cozy confines of the Westside Lodge.

The Ballroom
Block Building, Main Street, Harrison 04040
Phone : 207-583-6964
The current Harrison Block Building was built in 1923. The Ballroom and it's adjoining rooms were used by the Rebekahs and Odd Fellows as their meeting rooms. It also served for town meetings and festive social gatherings. In 1994 Nan Brett became owner of The Ballroom. Its purpose, now, is to provide an arena to nurture a spectrum of movement, expressive, and performing arts techniques. The Ballroom's 2,000 square foot main floor, mirrored wall, great acoustics, and 16-foot-high ceilings with molded plaster decorative work, provides a great venue for movement classes, performances, meetings and social gatherings. In addition to the original Ballroom, in 2001 Nan purchased the neighboring function room which had been converted to residential and office use in the 1970s. Extensive renovation has restored this room to its original beauty. The addition of this large room with kitchen facilities has allowed for further expansion of classes and functions at The Ballroom.
