Atomic Studios was founded in 1989 by Principal, Gary Guzzo, to fill a void left by the sale of his comic book shop, Amazing Tales, and his trade-show staging company, International Video. With years of experience in radio, television production, live event production, trade show design and production, as well as teaching web design at the Westchester Art Workshop, Atomic Studios was designed to bring together Art and Technology - and provide services to a variety of clients through all aspects of media.
After completing a major promotion for Marvel Comics, Gary found himself as Marvel's Director of Publicity, while still furthering Atomic Studios accomplishments utilizing a variety of freelance talent from the NY City area.
It was at Marvel Comics that Gary met Dawn Guzzo, a long-time designer for Marvel and, as Production Manager, the head of the legendary Marvel Bullpen. Gary and Dawn soon escaped to the Arizona Desert where, in a traditional Navajo ceremony, they were married.
