Anglers from all over the world flock to the East and West Branches of the Penobscot River, to fish for small mouthed bass, trout salmon and other native species. The Penobscot is also renowned for its spectacular rapids. Including the Crib works, Troublemaker, and exterminator to the delight of whitewater rafters, conoeists and kayakers. Winter turns the region into a paradise of snowmobilers, who can connect directly into maine’s Interconnected Trail System.
